Key Business Objectives
The Instrumentation and Electrical Lead reports to the Director of Station Services and is responsible for the successful execution of I&E projects for Station Services.
Requirements Primary Responsibilities
• Works with USA Project Managers and contract engineering firm on station scope development and design.
• Reviews and approves I&E drawings before IFC release.
• Assists with selection of qualified vendors and contractors.
• Responsible for field execution of I&E Projects.
• Supervises and advises I&E contractors in the field.
• Develops or approves BOM’s for station I&E.
• Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems with station controls or electrical.
• Interfaces with Operations on technical issues related to the compressor station.
• Performs other duties as required related to successful execution of Station Services including acting as CM when needed.
• Available to travel as required.
• Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.

Education, Knowledge and Skills
• Minimum of 10 years or equivalent natural gas industry experience.
• Operate independently with little or no supervision.
• Ability to supervise contractors and solve problems.
• High understanding of PLC controls and communication protocol.
• Read and understand technical manuals.
• Internet and Microsoft office proficient.
• Allen Bradley PLC understanding. Ability to train in programming and writing ladder logic.
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable DMV history.
• Full time Non-exempt level position.


Working Conditions
• The employee spends the majority of time sitting or standing in a comfortable position with ample opportunity to move about.
• The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The position requires ability to read and interpret data as well as having the capacity to professionally and effectively communicate (verbally and written) with both company and outside personnel.
• Travel is required and is expected to be approximately 70% of the time worked.
• Employee will be a member of a team that is geographically dispersed.
• Working conditions in natural gas compression vary from one job site to another. Some job sites are indoors in compressor stations while other sites are outside, exposed to a variety of weather conditions. The work environment may be in hazardous locations. There is a strong emphasis on safety while working with heavy equipment and machinery.
