Key Business Objectives:
The Operation Support Intern contributes to our business by adding value in the following areas: business process data validation and operations data gathering in support of on-going corporate initiatives. The successful candidate will have demonstrated the ability to succeed in a fast paced, fluid environment, while ensuring that project initiatives are met. This is a great opportunity to work closely with the operations team to gain a deep understanding of operating systems and rationalizing data in support of these systems

Requirements Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must learn and support company policies, procedures, and methodology
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal clients and external support vendors
• Communicate in a clear, concise, and organized manner
• Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment
• Demonstrate ability to gain an understanding of relevant operating systems as applicable to designated area(s)
• May be required to extract data from various systems and third party platforms and convert to Excel or some other application to support management in a timely manner
• Manages multiple priorities to meet deadlines and commitments
• Seek opportunities to become involved in process improvements
• Develop an understanding of the company, our products and the industry environment
• Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Skills and Education:

• Experience in a strategic sourcing, procurement, contract development and management, and supplier relationship management
• Experience in Vendor Management and customer negotiations
• Attending an accredited University studying toward a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain and Materials Management, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent strongly preferred.
• Minimum rising sophomore in standing.
• Basic knowledge of test methodologies and statistical tools used to solve problems.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, dynamic, and high visibility environment and work well as part of a team.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
• Demonstrated ability to communicate contractual issues
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Visio)
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

Working Conditions

• The employee spends the majority of time sitting or standing in a comfortable position with ample opportunity to move about.
• The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• The position requires ability to read and interpret data as well as having the capacity to professionally and effectively communicate (verbally and written) with both company and outside personnel.
• Travel is required and is expected to be approximately 10-30% of the time worked.
