Assists in planning media campaigns and communications to promote COPT’s activities and services. Designs and updates both print collateral and digital assets including (but not limited to) brochures, flyers, location and amenity maps, satellite aerials, presentations, RFP responses, corporate reports, invitations, advertisements, display boards and banners, event signage, tradeshow exhibits, email templates, interactive campaigns, and social media. The Marketing Specialist is also responsible for making updates and revisions to COPT websites via WordPress or another CMS.

The Marketing Specialist is comfortable working from an existing design, utilizing COPT’s pre-established brand guidelines. Also, this position works both independently and collaboratively as needed, can effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven environment, has a positive attitude and flexibility for last minute changes, excellent communication skills, and is organized and detail-oriented.

Project & Creative Development.


  • Assist in planning media campaigns and communications, including partnering with business units, to effectively identify needs and optimally promote COPT’s services.
  • Provide information and ongoing communication relevant to projects to marketing and cross-functional team members.
  • Ensure project milestones and completion dates are met.
  • Work effectively with vendors on project requirements as needed.




Marketing Collateral. 


  • Create and revise print and digital assets as needed. This includes (but is not limited to) brochures, maps, aerial sheets, presentations, RFP responses, corporate reports, invitations, advertisements, display boards and banners, signage, exhibits, interactive campaigns, and email templates.




Social Media.


  • Plan and schedule social media posts to align with social media strategy, assist in content development, and write copy as needed.




Content Management System (CMS).


  • Update and write copy for COPT’s web assets including (but is not limited to) corporate and property websites using WordPress or another CMS. 




Analyzing Content.


  • Track, analyze, and report on results of marketing campaigns to evaluate results and provide recommendation for future projects.



  • Perform other job related duties as assigned.






Profile / Qualifications



B.A., B.S., or B.F.A. in marketing, communications, graphic design or related field

Further Training


Professional Experience

Minimum 2+ years of marketing and collateral experience; experience in CRE, commercial development, or related industry preferred.

Computer Skills

•Proficient in industry-standard Adobe software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) in a PC environment.

•Working knowledge of web technologies such as WordPress (or other CMS) and Sprout Social (or other social media management tool).

•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) in a PC environment.
