Description Purpose
Provides specialized professional services, and policy and procedure development services to State Targeted Response to the Opioid Crisis Grant (STR OCG) Principal Investigator in the implementation of various projects. Assists in the organization and coordination of projects, including planning, organizing, and community outreach and training/technical assistance activities, and developing administrative policies and procedures with respect to the STR OCG initiative. Responsible to track projects progress.

Provides program, as well as direct internal and external client support services. Responsible for the coordination of activities related to the training of new clinics in the use of comprehensive MAT to address opioid use disorders. This position will assist in the implementation of various aspects of the development of new Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) clinic sites across WV. Responds to inquiries from new (MAT) clinic sites and independently resolves matters of low to moderate complexity. Responsibilities require judgment, resourcefulness, and originality, but diverse guides and precedents are usually available to apply or adapt to the circumstances. Work effort has considerable impact on client services, program and project image, with potential legal liabilities.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities are functional in nature, and performed under general supervision. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:

1) Travels to STR MAT grant sites when needed.
2) Serves as the liaison between WVU Behavioral Medicine/WVCTSI and MAT clinic sites.
3) Assists with evaluation activities such as tracking and reporting for quarterly reports.
4) Facilitates services provided to researchers and community partners.
5) Assists in the creation and dissemination of training materials to MAT clinic sites and other stakeholders.
6) Assists in training activities as it pertains to the project.
7) Participates in short and long term planning and design of project direction and objectives related to the STR MAT grant and WVCTSI initiatives.
8) Actively participates in writing of reports, journal articles or other documentation of project/project program status and project results.
9) Generates reports on project/ program plans, progress and results of activity.
10) Arranges and attends meetings, seminars, symposia and other events related to the core activities.
11) Establishes and maintains an active network of professional contacts.
12) Assists in developing and updating core/program policies and procedures.
13) Oversees the implementation of a variety of cross-core collaborations.
14) Oversees the maintenance of the STR OCG Grant website

Supervisory/Lead Role
This position reports to the WVCTSI Clinical Services Integration Manager. Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Supervision of others is not required; however, sharing of knowledge with others and team participation is expected in the role. Program, project or activity lead responsibilities will occur or be assigned in this position.

Physical Demands
Activities are predominantly non-manual though some responsibilities require the occasional lifting of 25lbs. The incumbent must be able to effectively hear and communicate with others. Close visual acuity, the ability to adjust focus, identify and distinguish colors, peripheral vision, and depth perception are required in the job.

Work Environment
This position includes a mixture of a normal office environment and a training development environment, and traveling to various locations for meetings, conferences and/or training. It also includes the ability to maintain and keep confidential information. Incumbent is responsible to know and comply with all safety procedures.

The following has been identified as a possible job exposure of this position requiring WVU Environmental Health and Safety medical monitoring:
1) Patient Contact- having contact with a patient, or with potentially contaminated items including (but not limited to) blood and/or body fluids
Requirements Requisite Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
1) Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, or related field
2) 2 – 4 years’ experience with program development/management
3) An equivalent combination of education and experience

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
1) Valid driver’s license

1) Master’s degree
2) Experience in Medically Assisted Treatment programs
3) Experience working in the field of Behavioral Health, specifically in the area of addiction
