Description Purpose
Provides specialized professional services, technical assistance and policy and procedure development services to the WV Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI), the WV Project ECHO program, and the Community Engagement and Outreach Core (CEO). Assists in the implementation, organization and coordination of ECHO Projects and Community Engagement and Outreach projects, including planning, facilitation, organizing, and training/technical assistance activities. Responsible to track projects progress and aid in external grant submissions.

Provides program, as well as direct internal and external client support services. Responds to inquiries and independently resolves matters of low to moderate complexity. Responsibilities require judgment, resourcefulness, and originality, but diverse guides and precedents are usually available to apply or adapt to the circumstances. Work effort has considerable impact on client services, program and project image, with potential legal liabilities.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities are functional in nature, and performed under general supervision. Specific tasks include, but are not limited to:
1) Provides programmatic support for the WV Project ECHO Program.
a. Facilitate weekly ECHO sessions by moderating sessions, taking attendance, and providing onsite technical assistance.
b. Coordinates communication and information flow between ECHO sites and Hub members.
c. Collects all required data for the WV ECHO program and inputs into iECHO database; coordinates with ECHO manager to generate specific reports required by Project ECHO out of the University of New Mexico.
d. Assists in the development and publication of ECHO program offerings and schedules with faculty and departmental representatives.
e. Conducts on-site registration for continuing education credit; coordinates with continuing education office on payment for medical professionals at remote sites, as appropriate.
f. Implements evaluation activities for WV Project ECHO.
g. Oversees the maintenance of the WV Project ECHO website.
h. Provides individual and/or group instruction and training to staff, students, and/or faculty on computer hardware and software.
i. Work with ECHO manager and administrative assistant to assure seamless execution of ECHO sessions
2) Provides administrative and operational support to the Community Engagement and Outreach Core (CEO) of the WV Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI)
a. Arranges and attends meetings, seminars, symposia and other events related to program efforts.
b. Implement CEO policies and procedures.
c. Develop and implement technical project management tools such as plans, schedules, and responsibility and compliance matrices.
d. Report project plans, progress and reports to respective project team.
e. Prepare meeting agendas and minutes and distributing appropriately.
f. Assist in implementing core goals and strategies relating to community engagement dissemination, translation, and evaluation of information, project techniques, and partnerships.
g. Maintain and develop positive professional relationships with individuals providing services to or receiving services from the program.
h. Actively participates in writing of reports or other documentation of project/project program status and project results.

Supervisory/Lead Role
This position reports to the Collaborative Innovations Manager. Normally receives minimal instructions on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Supervision of others is not required; however, sharing of knowledge with others and team participation is expected in the role. Program, project or activity lead responsibilities will occur or be assigned in this position.

Physical Demands
Activities are predominantly non-manual though some responsibilities require the occasional lifting of 25lbs. The incumbent must be able to effectively hear and communicate with others. Close visual acuity, the ability to adjust focus, identify and distinguish colors, peripheral vision, and depth perception are required in the job.

Work Environment
This position includes a mixture of a normal office environment and a training development environment, and traveling to various locations for meetings, conferences and/or training. It also includes the ability to maintain and keep confidential information. Incumbent is responsible to know and comply with all safety procedures.
Requirements Requisite Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
1) Bachelor’s degree in communications, business administration or related field
2) 2 – 4 years’ experience with program development/management in an academic or health-related environment
3) An equivalent combination of education and experience
