Title Clinical Performance Improvement Analyst

Description VIVA HEALTH is seeking an experienced Clinical Performance Analyst who has a passion for quality improvement and a wealth of CMS compliance knowledge. The Clinical Performance Improvement Analyst position supports VIVA Health’s performance and quality improvement initiatives by applying clinical knowledge and perspectives to data-based decision support.
• Emphasize data analysis and reporting to measure health plan performance relative to standardized quality measure sets and company performance goals.
• Assist in the production of both patient-level and summary-level reporting for HEDIS quality metrics and CMS Star Ratings measures.
• Actively contribute to VIVA’s continuous improvement initiatives and be responsible for the development and presentation of information to internal and external audiences.
• Liaise with many areas of the company to develop, support, and coordinate performance improvement activities.

Requirements REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Health or Business related field OR Graduate of an accredited program of professional nursing, ADN/BSN, or comparable healthcare professional degree
• 3 years’ of experience in an analytical healthcare role. This includes experience with clinical data analysis and interpretation, quality improvement strategic planning, quality program regulations/specifications, and/or project management
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Excel: writing Excel formulas, using conditional formatting, creating Pivot Tables
• Demonstrated working knowledge of data organization principles and techniques (ex: data tables)
• Proficient in other Microsoft Office Suite products (Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work on and track multiple assignments on various timelines with minimal supervision
• Self-directed; demonstrated ability to initiate, implement, and complete projects and assignments in a timely manner
• Demonstrated ability to apply logical deductive reasoning to research or analytic results
• Ability to exercise sound independent judgement and discretion in decisions that affect business operations
• Ability to interpret written clinical quality measure specifications and apply them to business operations
• Ability to evaluate existing projects or processes and offer suggestions to improve efficiency
PREFERRED:
• Master’s degree in related field
• 1 year of experience working with Star Ratings, HEDIS, and/or CMS Core Measure performance metrics related data
• Current RN or comparable health care professional license
• Six Sigma Green Belt or greater
• Technical knowledge of national standard health quality metrics such as Star Ratings, CMS Core Measures, CAHPS Survey, HOS Survey, and/or HEDIS
• Proficient in Tableau software or similar analysis/visualization tool
• Proficient in SQL data query
• High level of familiarity with ICD10 procedure and diagnosis codes
• Demonstrated experience developing or initiating new operational projects and programs
