Description Topco Associates is currently seeking a Sourcing Analyst for the Indirect Spend Team in Quincy, MA.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Sourcing Analyst will lead sourcing initiatives with representatives from our customer organizations to source indirect products/services, develop strategies to successfully source and manage programs on behalf of member customers via the sourcing methodology and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to improve business processes and efficiency.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES: Job Title typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Sourcing / Project Management
Manage sourcing initiatives from inception through contract lifecycle
Develop and distribute RFPs and RFIs to potential vendors
Negotiate price and contract terms with suppliers through traditional means and reverse
auctions

Analytics
Provide in-depth data analysis throughout sourcing process, identify gaps and areas of commonality, and review results with clients
Develop commodity expertise through extensive market research and analysis

Relationship Management
Develop and manage supplier / vendor relationships
Develop and present initiative results analysis and communications to stakeholders
Manage contracts from development stage to implementation, ensure pricing and terms compliance through the multi-year project
Provide continuous improvement opportunities with both member and supplier/vendor stakeholders

Business Development
Collaborate with account management / program management to promote new and existing programs
Assist with sales tracking, preparation of annual sourcing plans and business reviews
Requirements

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree required 2 - 3 years in project management / business management / business analytics
  • Sourcing management, procurement management, commodity management preferred
  • Market / supplier analysis, experience in grocery or other retail industry a plus

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced spreadsheet knowledge, along with Access and PowerPoint
  • Strong attention to detail

  • Proven negotiation skills
  • High performance orientation
