We are looking for a Consulting Leader in Chicago that would focus on new business development and delivery of RubinBrown’s Service Offerings. Must have the desire to work in a fast-paced environment and possess a diverse background with finance, accounting, and risk management experience. Additionally, our ideal candidate will be passionate about working in a growing practice and demonstrate previous practice development successes.

Major Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for this position can be divided in to three areas (all of equal importance):

1. Client service

2. Business development

3. Team member development

Client service responsibilities will be specific to your service offering (e.g., internal audit, litigation support, etc.):

  • Determine the project scope, objectives and work to be performed.
  • Supervision and review of the work to be performed.
  • Identify and communicate recommendations to improve the operations and controls of client businesses.
  • Review deliverables and reports
  • Leadership in the development of methodology/protocol for service delivery

Business development responsibilities will include networking in the Chicago metro area. You will be responsible for developing business relationships that could result in new business for all service offerings of RubinBrown. You will be responsible for developing Team Members in the following ways: 

  • Motivate and be respected by staff 
  • Demonstrate positive contributions to firm’s recruitment, education, development, and retention efforts 
  • Serve as a Mentor, Advisor, and Career Advocate 
  • Provide Team Members with timely and candid feedback – supporting the firm’s performance management process 
  • Attract, engage, inspire and coach team members
  • Learning and Living The RubinBrown Culture
Requirements

Preferred Experience/Background/Skills

  • Masters degree in Finance, Accounting, or related degree
  • At least ten years of current and / or recent consulting experience in public accounting, consulting, or industry
  • Credentials in area of expertise (e.g. CPA or CFA)
  • Strong technical skills in the areas of Finance and Accounting
  • Strong project management skills
  • Possess strong communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and analytical abilities
  • Team player
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Have the ability to meet challenging client requirements
  • Strict adherence to professional ethics
