Description The Continuous Improvement (CI) team is responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline work, reduce waste, and identify cost savings opportunities. This position will support and participate in strategic initiatives across the organization to identify opportunities in the process workflow, plan improvement changes, execute changes, and evaluate effectiveness (PDCA). This position will work collaboratively to create efficiencies and quality improvements, as well as gain knowledge in applying LEAN methodologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop direct manufacturing and support processes to maximize productivity while minimizing costs.
• Provides innovative cost-effective solutions to manufacturing process problems utilizing LEAN principles.
• Develop and leads cross-functional teams to address manufacturing site initiatives while maintaining positive employee relations, team oriented problem solving, and employee accountability.
• Create and implement standardized, best-in-class processes across manufacturing sites.
• Analyze current and past trends in KPI’s highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
• Assist with the identification and prioritization of opportunities where process redesign/improvement can significantly impact efficiency, compliance, quality, profitability, competitive position, and customer satisfaction.
• Provide feedback to management concerning possible problems or areas of improvement.
• Conduct process improvement initiatives which include documenting current process to identify pain points and opportunities, performing supporting data analysis, facilitating the design of the process changes, and supporting implementation of the process changes.
• Develop and deliver daily and weekly reports to inform and align with key decision makers.
• Creates or validates standard work for production processes.
• Trains staff and implements 6S programs where applicable.
• Conduct data entry and analysis for various manufacturing projects and efforts as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

• 2 years related work experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Familiar with continuous improvement processes
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• High level of competency in problem solving
• Demonstrated experience in a LEAN culture by working with team members in the planning, designing, and accomplishment of key projects
• Computer skills to include an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
• Enthusiastic, dedicated to the challenge of helping others
• Ability to learn and apply new concepts as well as overcome obstacles with change
• Ability to work and influence others in a fast paced environment
• Availability to work shifts as required
• High standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized with acute attention to detail
• Ability to think creatively, highly-driven, and self-motivated
• Ability to work with all levels of the organization; able to work both independently as well as a part of a team
• Background in process engineering is a plus
• LEAN Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma Experience is a plus
• Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing techniques, tools, and principles is a plus
Physical Demands:
While performing the essential duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, or kneel and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
This position requires the ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and training skills and have a high degree of comfort engaging with all levels throughout the organization.
