Midco Sports Network provides live coverage of local sporting events and produces award-winning original sports programming. Since 2010, MidcoSN has delivered the sights and sounds of high school, collegiate, outdoors, motorsports and more to homes and businesses across the Midwest. Serve as the Programming Assistant for MidcoSN “Legacy” and MidcoSN Kansas which includes planning, coordination and scheduling of the television networks.


  • Acquire local and syndicated programming for Midco Sports Network and acquire miscellaneous programming feeds from networks and “away” sporting events produced outside of Midco.
  • Assist with acquisition, planning and development of local programming for MidcoSN.
  • Use analytics of viewership to assist in creating optimal program scheduling.
  • Create short and long-term programming grids for consistent planning and program scheduling. Create and develop consistent advanced planning for MidcoSN programming.
  • Responsible for contract fulfillment of syndicated programming for the networks.
  • Responsible for organizing of MidcoSN’s streaming and digital distribution platforms.
  • Provide scheduled, weekly updates for iGuide, TiVo and all on-air television scheduling platforms, as well as updating all internal and public facing schedules when last minute changes are necessary.
  • Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate reports as requested. 
  • Be willing and able to travel in accordance with Midco’s “Use of Vehicle for Company Business” policy.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with internal and external customers.
  • Adhere to Midco’s privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy.
  • Maintain regular attendance as required by your position.
  • Be willing and able to work nights or weekends periodically to help fill in on a crew during live events.

  • High School diploma or GED is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent television experience preferred.
  • Programming experience preferred.
  • Excellent organization skills required.


  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  • Employees may be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings and weekends as business demands.
