The Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist is responsible for the timeliness, accuracy, relevancy, and completeness of all proprietary and distributed product content across all Horizon’s online assets, including HorizonHobby.com, Brand Sites and B to B sites.
Working closely with content contributors and business owners, the
Ecommerce Merchandising Specialist shall ensure that the web sites meet and exceed the goal of providing the most comprehensive set of product information to all content audiences.
The candidate will manage the day-to-day challenges including coordinating and prioritizing work effort with the Merchandising Manager. This position shall continually identify opportunities to streamline the authoring and publishing processes of product content and its consistency.
Ideal candidate will:
· be detail-oriented and self-motivated;
· work well with diverse team of stakeholders, designers, SMEs and others;
· possess experience with and understanding of hobby content requirements preferred;
· have knowledge of the Internet and online content delivery;
· be experienced with content management systems and content management processes;
· be able to demonstrate record of continuously seeking opportunities to exceed goals;
· be involved with or have experience in one or more radio controlled hobbies.
Other advantageous experience:
· Basic skills in desktop publishing applications such as
Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Excel
· Basic knowledge of HTML and web publishing tools, Dream Weaver
· Project management experience and basic graphic design skills are a plus
