FARO is seeking a High-Tech Project Manager for and exciting role based in our Training and Service location in Detroit, MI to support our 3D Solutions and Services sales teams. This is an ideal job for an experienced Factory Automation Project Manager who is looking for an exciting opportunity with a high growth company.

Position Description:

  • Accountable for the delivery of integrated solutions in 3D Solutions & Services vertical in line with company strategy
  • Liaise with PM & Sales for customer requirements
  • Provide training to sales engineers, such that they have sufficient knowledge to represent our customized solutions at trade shows and conferences
  • Responsible for Project quoting based on input from the dedicated project team
  • Responsible for management of integrated solution projects in cooperation with the respective departments and external partners
  • Accountable for the successful completion of integrated solutions

Requirements

The position requires:

  • 5-7 years professional experience in project management of customized and complex automation solutions
  • A degree in mechatronics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or automation technology - or a comparable technical qualification is required
  • Proven ability to deliver technically optimized integrated solutions - Experience with multiple industry sectors is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical , strategic and communication skills with an assertive and  creative personality
  • Strong communication skills to uncover and identify customer needs.
  • Ability to work independently and also within a team environment,  and willing to travel extensively
