FARO is seeking a Warranty Renewal Specialist to be based in our Corporate Headquarters in the Lake Mary, Florida area. This is an ideal position innovative professional who enjoys working with customers in a fast pace teaming environment.     

 

 

SCOPE:

Perform duties to obtain and process warranty renewal orders, working within the limits of standard and accepted practice.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.     Monitor warranty expirations and contact customers who are within 90 days of expiration regarding warranty renewal and upgrades to encourage renewal and extension of contract.  Document results in database.

2.     Follow up on initial contacts and communicate with Account Manager regarding renewal status for follow up and quoting as required. 

3.     Receive and review purchase orders from customers in various formats (electronic, hard copy, etc.).   Validate against quote and confirm details with customers. 

4.     Prepare Contract Review; attach purchase order and electronic customer records and issue to order entry for review and credit authorization.

5.     Serve as backup for other sales administrative functions as assigned.


OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1.     Perform or assist with any departmental operations, as required or directed to maintain workflow and meet production schedules and requirements.

2.     Maintain safe work areas and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules.

3.     Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements and policies.

4.     Recommend and make revisions to control documentation such as production checklists, operating procedures and policy manuals.  Make and distribute authorized modifications as required.

5.     Maintain work area in a clean and orderly condition.  Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Occasional lifting of very lightweight materials, rare lifting of lightweight materials (up to 25 lbs.)  Some pushing & pulling and reaching, continuous sitting, occasional standing and walking.  Continuous use of computer, keyboard and mouse.   

 

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED:

Database software programs, computer and peripherals, and standard office equipment.

Requirements

HIRING PREFERENCES:

High School diploma or equivalent

1-2 years experience in sales or sales administrative role

Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred

Outbound calling or retention experience strongly preferred

Experience with MS Office Suite required

Sales or Contact Management database experience preferred

Salesforce.com experience preferred
