We are currently seeking a Regional Manager passionate about Construction, BIM, MEP and AEC technologies and solution to help accelerate the growth of our award-winning 3D Documentation portfolio (Focus3D, Freestyle3D, Scene Software and Pointsense Software products).  The Focus3D is a high-speed 3D laser scanner for detailed measurement and documentation. FARO's Focus3D uses laser technology to produce incredibly detailed three-dimensional images of complex environments and geometries in only a few minutes. The Focus3D was recently honored with a "Best of What’s New award" by Popular Science magazine.

This is an ideal job for a hands on sales manager with multiple years experience leading and coaching capital equipment sales staff. You must be able to travel up to 80% of the work week.

A Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field or business administration is required. A background in construction, surveying, design, and/or engineering is strongly preferred. In your Regional Manager role, you will be working with a team of account managers and working with them on effective practices for solution demonstration, customer negotiations, forecasting, budgeting and closing business.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Meet monthly revenue goals for the assigned region. Determine forecast and act as player/coach to manage inside, outside and distributor sales team to achieve regional goals and objectives.
  • Perform product demonstrations as needed and assist sales staff with high profile or difficult accounts to advance sales opportunity and close business.
  • Review and maintain high profile customer relationships as identified by Director of Sales.
  • Set revenue goals and create long-term purchase agreements with key accounts.
  • Review and maintain relationships with national contracting groups within assigned region and assist in growing new national contract opportunities as identified by the Director of Sales.
  • Provide strategic input to the Director of Sales. Identify and report on potential opportunities to promote sales growth.
  • Establish budgets and ensure compliance with expense guidelines.
  • Update database and generate reports as required.
  • Hire, train, develop and manage the performance outside and distributor sales staff in conjunction with the Director of Sales and HR.
Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience working with 3D CAD or design programs OR
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Finance with experience in selling into construction or AEC markets.
  • 5-7 years experience managing a direct sales team
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time throughout US and Canada
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to travel internationally for meetings and training as required
