Description The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will oversee the administrative functions of Family & Children's Services which include: human resources, finance, revenue cycle management, front desk operations, information technology, legal affairs, facilities, real estate and other administrative functions of the organization. Position will supervise and collaborate with administrative leadership team to drive strategy, continuously improve operations and achieve established goals. Position will report to CEO.

Through effective management of administrative functions, CAO will: reduce redundancy and seek standardization and cost saving opportunities; review and approve performance measurements and process improvements, promote interdepartmental communication, bridging administrative and clinical functions, oversee business and legal activities and provide support to administrative leadership on special projects and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• Work closely with and keep the CEO informed with timely status reports from various departments.
• Provide supervision of administrative leadership staff, departments and functions of the organization.
• Work with CEO and administrative leadership to select key performance indicators (KPI’s), success metrics, reporting systems and timetables to measure and evaluate progress against goals for the organization.
• Ensure a process improvement methodology is applied across the organization to streamline operations and optimize efficiency and performance.
• Assume leadership to reduce silos, enhance interdepartmental communication and bridge administrative and program functions.
• Serve as central point of contact for all agency business matters, strategies, legal documents, etc.
• Serve as lead in strategic planning and annual work plan development and monitoring for administration and operation.
• Provide business consultation to the CEO in the development of new business lines.
• Lead large-scale administrative projects and endeavors.




Requirements Education
• Master's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or equivalent or
Master of Healthcare Administration from accredited university required.
• Undergraduate degree in finance or technology preferred.
Experience
• 5 years’ successful senior leadership experience in operations management at a social impact nonprofit or healthcare organization; managing high level executives from administrative department.
• 10 years of progressively more responsible experience in large multi-specialty medical or behavioral health group practice or integrated healthcare system.
• Legal experience preferred.
Knowledge
• Acumen in business, human resources, compensation, finance, data, technology, and operations.
• Must understand the behavioral healthcare industry and future value-based financing.
• Working knowledge of medical claims processing and coding.
• Working knowledge of managed care, Medicaid and commercial insurance.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office.
