Title Case Manager - Women in Recovery

Description Provides gender-specific advocacy, assessment, linkage, referral, education, resource acquisition, family, group, monitoring and crisis intervention services to women and their families in the Women in Recovery (WIR) program in a culturally sensitive way. Provides a single point of contact and work in partnership with WIR staff and partners as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a set of social service functions that helps women at risk of incarceration access the resources they need to recover and avoid incarceration. Provides and advocates for gender-specific therapeutically effective best practices, services, incentives, and sanctions. Also functions in the capacity of kitchen manager to over see daily operations of food preparation and general food services including nutritional guidance and meal planning.
Requirements Minimum requirements include a Case Management Certification or obtain by taking the first available Case Management Certification course provided by ODMHSAS after hire. . The person in this position must have at least three years restaurant experience in kitchen management. The person in this position must possess an ability to establish rapport quickly, establish appropriate boundaries and be nonjudgmental toward consumers. The person in this position must have a clear understanding of the characteristics and problems of adults with mental illnesses and substance abuse related issues in the criminal justice system. Must posses a valid Oklahoma Driver License and satisfactory driving record and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office. The person in this position must demonstrate ability to understand the natural course of addiction and recovery, to foresee a problem, to understand the options available to manage it, and take appropriate action.
