General Summary:   

Responsible for the sale of company products and services to current and potential customers. Staffs, directs, and develops a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and revenue growth in line with company vision and values. Calls on prospective customers via phone and in person. Develops long-term relationships and becomes the trusted advisor to the customer. Leads team in generating leads, creating sales and proposing complete solutions for prospects.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for the direct business solution sales for Ritter Communications.  Leads team in generating leads, creating sales presentations and proposals, closing the sale and ensuring delivery of services.
  • Responsible for the performance and development of the sales team.
  • Conducts regular coaching and counseling with sales representatives to build motivation and solution selling skills.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with top-tier business executives and community leaders.  Represents Ritter Communications in various community committees and functions.
  • Partners with Marketing Department to identify business opportunities with both the established client base and with potential customers.
  • Conducts one-on-one reviews with all members of the sales team to build more effective communications, to understand training and development needs, and to provide insight for the improvement of the team’s sales and activity performance.
  • Coordinates the efforts of the sales team by preparing a variety of reports outlining sales leads and prospects and all closed business sales.
  • Analyzes and measures business trends; develops and implements plans to maximize sales and meet or exceed goals and objectives.  Focuses on providing viable solutions to all customers.
  • Provides input for market research and advertising activities to identify targeted customers; identifies the appropriate media for distribution of promotional information.
  • Performs other duties as required by the VP/GM Enterprise & Wholesales Services.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:                                                             

  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry.
  • Knowledge of telecom operations, technology, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of business sales principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of company products and services.
  • Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer, various software programs, and telephone systems.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Skill in designing and delivering effective presentations and public speaking.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Ability to demonstrate skills in leadership.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand.
  • Ability to travel as required; valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record required.

Education and Experience:  

Bachelor’s degree in Sales Leadership, Marketing, or related field required with 3 to 5 years of experience in sales management.  Experience in Telecommunication and/or networking in a business environment preferred.
