We are looking for an experienced Sales Operations Manager to join our team.

General Summary:   

The Sales Operations Manager leads the Sales Operations group in providing the organization with strategic data and reporting.   This function assists with increasing the overall productivity and efficiency of the Sales team.  Results are accomplished in a variety of ways including; utilizing client relationship management (CRM) and sales management software to track opportunities, assign leads, and report results; coordinating training for Inside and Outside Sales Representatives; and ad hoc reporting to all stakeholders.

The position requires a balance of data/technical expertise and project related skills in a supervisory capacity. This individual must be organized, efficient, able to prioritize, work with various departments understanding their role in supporting sales and detail oriented.                                                                                                

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manages all functions of the Sales Operations team; performs duties such as setting performance goals, measuring results, and streamlining initiatives.
  • Responsible for all processes related to process, support, maintenance and payout of Sales commissions and incentives.
  • Leads personnel in all aspects of sales operations, including data integrity monitoring, order tracking, market sales orders, and sales report generation.
  • Builds strong working relationships within the sales group and other internal functions including Marketing, Service Delivery Teams, and Customer Care.
  • Educates and consults with Sales team on contracting process, billing, and overall sales operations process and policy.
  • Remains current with changing trends in the telecommunications industry by reviewing various periodicals and related information.
  • Works with Sales Leaders to track sales performance and develop and implement actionable metrics.
  • Responsible for training, development, and performance management of direct reports
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned by the Director of Sales Engineering and Service Delivery

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:                                                             

  • Knowledge of telecommunications industry
  • Knowledge of telecom operations, technology, and equipment
  • Knowledge of sales principles and practices
  • Skill in operating various software programs including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook applications, Salesforce and SharePoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of sales personnel, cross departmental teams, and senior level management teams.
  • Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, including the ability to lead teams and projects.

Education and Experience:  

Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field, preferred.  Experience in telecommunications, IT services, or other technology industry preferred.  Three years of supervisory experience and experience with CRM software also preferred.
