Description Employee Relations Specialist
Primary Function: Act as a point of contact for team leads and employees for all HR-related issues. Build solid, positive relationships with team leads and serve as a proactive business partner to drive employee engagement, employee productivity and improved overall team performance. Assist in development of new and revised job descriptions, KPI’s, progressive discipline while evaluating opportunities for continuous improvement and proactive business partnership.
Key Responsibilities:
• Counsel team leads and employees on HR policies, performance reviews, job requirements, work-related issues, documentation and terminations.
• Conduct investigations of employee complaints and provide resolutions. Ensure compliance with all pertinent HR-related laws and regulations.
• Work with employees and team leads to understand and address root causes of HR issues, resolve employee relations problems, address performance issues, ensure legal compliance and provide a positive work environment.
• Work closely with team leads and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
• Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies.
Requirements Position Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required with three (3) to five (5) years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations.
• Proven experience coaching and counseling all levels of employees on a wide variety of issues and a thorough understanding of performance management systems and employment.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.
