Description eClinicalWorks is a leader in the Electronic Health Record industry, delivering ambulatory and acute care EHR and Revenue Cycle products to clients in the United States and worldwide. Patient Safety is of paramount importance and is fundamental to our products. As part of our mission to deliver the highest quality products, we are expanding our Clinical Risk Management (CRM) Team to include a Clinical Risk Analyst.

Position Summary:

As part of the clinical risk management team, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that eClinicalWorks continues to deliver safe healthcare technology products to our customers. The Clinical Risk Analyst will work closely with colleagues in various departments such as Data Migration, Interoperability, Clinical content, Implementation, Product Development, etc.

This role includes key functions during the different stages of the software lifecycle and will include:

a) Actively look at ways in which R&D can continue to enhance our products to make sure potential clinical risk can be prevented (Design and Development)
b) Work with the Product Management team in evaluating customer requirements, especially in product areas such as clinical decision support, clinical data validation, etc. (Design and Development)
c) Assist Quality Assurance teams in validating clinical scripts in key clinical workflow areas such as CPOE, Medication Management, Progress Notes, clinical decision support, etc. (Quality Assurance)
d) Assist the Patient Safety Task Force implement preventive and correction action from the clinical perspective moving forward (Maintenance)
e) Work with the CRM team to maintain hazard logs at various software lifecycle stages (Documentation)
f) Provide clinical safety information to relevant third-party vendors
g) Ensure all clinical documentation is maintained for the life of the product.

The Clinical Risk Management team is led by the eClinicalWorks Chief Medical Officer. This position reports directly to the Chief Medical Officer.
Requirements • Currently registered as a healthcare professional with clinical experience (MD, NP OR RN, is preferred)
• Experience of managing risk in a clinical setting, either ambulatory or acute care
• Prior experience with the implementation of an Electronic Health Record product in an ambulatory and/or acute care setting, either as a member of the clinical project team or as a clinical super-user
• Excellent analytical, written, and oral communication skills
• Ability to articulate facts and ideas clearly and concisely
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• This position is based in our Westborough, MA office but may require occasional travel
