Description This position is for a full-time Director of New Business, REM to work in the EAH Corporate Office in San Rafael, CA. Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields of study: architecture, real estate development, real estate management, finance, planning, or construction management. Education in other fields of study would be acceptable combined with appropriate work experience. 3-5 years of related work or field work experience in matters related to property management, affordable housing and/or acquisition of property management contracts.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Under the supervision of the COO, performs a wide variety of tasks directly related to the planning and acquisition of new properties and/or portfolios. This position is characterized by a high degree of initiative, accountability and ability to work congenially with a wide variety of individuals within EAH and outside of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Takes the lead role to find and evaluates potentially viable opportunities adhering to EAH’s expansion goals.
• Works with and supports other EAH departments by utilizing effective lines of communication for exchange of information necessary during the process of acquiring business
• Compiles comprehensive deal analysis packages and assesses risk associated with any management acquisition.
• Meets with COO, CFO and Vice President of Real Estate Management on a regular basis to coordinate all REM activities.
• Maintains positive working relationships with lenders, public agencies, community service groups, and other important contacts. Serves as relationship manager for current clients/customers.
• Vets current fee management business annually or at management contract renewal.
• Pursues new business with existing clients/customers.
• Serves as organizational representative to housing organizations, public agencies, financial institutions, and community meetings
• Actively promotes business development awareness with in-house EAH staff. Provide ideas to the team on how to incentivize staff to bring in new business opportunities. Promote in-house contests, etc. to increase marketing efforts.
• Attends mandatory meetings and trainings.
• Actively participates in EAH’s Injury and Illness Prevention Plan
• Regular and predictable attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
