Description Position Summary: This position will provide custodial support services for the campus. This position is responsible for keeping the campus in clean and sanitary condition as well as “excellence in appearance” to support our mission of quality education.

Facility housekeeping: Performs routine to ordinary general housekeeping clean and sanitary condition and tidy appearance.

Duties:

-Empties trash in offices and common areas
-Disposes of trash in appropriate containers
-Replaces trash bins with liners
-Cleans and mops floors and dusts and cleans work areas
-Helps set up and tear down displays, clean up food areas, etc. during special events
-Responds to calls and assists in the handling of emergency situations
-Cleans common area carpets regularly and resident carpets upon request
-Do building walkthroughs and lock up every night

Building and grounds appearance: Maintains awareness of facilities and suggests corrective or preventive measures to the Campus Director in order to provide a safe, healthy and accident free work environment

Duties:

-Provides housekeeping services to ensure a neat, uncluttered and clean facility
Requirements Job Requirements: The following job requirements represent minimum levels of education, experience and competencies/abilities needed to perform this job successfully:

1. Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.

2. Experience: Skill at appropriately performing housekeeping duties.

3. Competencies: Incumbent must (be) able to:

-Project a professional image and provide outstanding customer service
-Keep commitments, meet deadlines and achieve demanding results
-Organize and execute around multiple priorities
-Knowledge of supplies, equipment and/or services appropriate for housekeeping needs.
-Normal verbal and written communication skills with a propensity for attention to details.
-This position requires working with a helpful, friendly and cooperative attitude.

4. Physical and Mental Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, bending reaching, stooping, walking and moving routinely during working hours. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to maintain verbal and written communications with co-workers.

Mental Requirements: Alert and attentive; ability to remember locations, names, people. Analytically competent. Work under pressure and manage multiple tasks; able to understand and react appropriately in emergency situations.

Environment: Work often in clean, well-lit, heated and cooled office area/classroom. May also require outside work.
