Description Job Description
Position Summary: Enterprise IT support. Responsible for infrastructure support at datacenter and campus locations. Work assigned through helpdesk ticketing system and direct supervisor. Will be working with associates and some student facing applications and equipment. Must have strong IT troubleshooting skills and abilities working with disparate systems, equipment, phones, computers, networks etc. Assists the IT Director with Designing, implementing and maintaining the IT infrastructure. Acts as backup to other members of IT team.

Assists in design and review of enterprise systems architecture under the Director of IT
Coordinates and performs installation and configuration of new equipment
Maintains enterprise network and server systems, including patches and updates
Troubleshoots and coordinates repair of network and server systems
Plans, implements and maintains backup, archival, and business continuity solutions
Coordinates testing of new enterprise applications
Maintains network and server infrastructure at assigned campus locations
Telephony support
Designs and fulfills support strategy for legacy systems through to replacement
Conducts training for internal IT staff as needed
Conducts training for other associates on helpdesk procedures and IT related subjects as needed
Facilitates automation of computer hardware and software support
Assists Director of IT with annual planning as directed
Completes all assigned helpdesk tickets and assists remotely where possible
Accomplishes other assignments as directed
Requirements The following job requirements represent minimum levels of education, experience and competencies/abilities needed to perform this job successfully:

1. Education: 2 year IT degree. May substitute 2 additional years relevant experience and CCIE, MCSE/MCSD, or VCAP certification for degree

2. Experience: Must have 2+ years (in addition to education requirement) direct experience managing a majority of the following systems, and an ability to readily master new technologies
• Rack-mount servers
• SAN storage
• Layer 2 and 3 managed switches
• Juniper or similar Router
• Meraki or similar Firewall/VPN appliance
• Meraki or similar Wireless APs
• Shoretel or similar VoIP PBX and handsets
• VMWare ESX
• Azure Backup, ASR or similar backup solution
• Microsoft Active directory management including domain controllers, group policy settings, and user/computer groups and accounts
• SCCM, Group Policy, and similar software deployment tools
• SCCM, WDS, and similar computer imaging tools
• Citrix XenApp virtualization and load-balancing
• MS Azure or similar IaaS technologies
• Wireshark and similar network analyzers
• Twisted-pair ethernet cabling and tools
• A working knowledge of Powershell or similar programming/scripting languages

3. Competencies: Successful candidate must be able to:
• Demonstrate an understanding of desktop and server hardware/software; telecommunications equipment and operation, including switching and IP routing; and interpersonal relations, including customer service.

4. Physical and Mental Requirements:

Physical Requirements: This job requires normal physical mobility, including the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Normal hand-eye coordination; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp and lift up to 40 pounds, is also required.

Mental Requirements: This job requires the ability to read, recall, write and understand information. This job also requires the ability to work under moderate pressure and to manage multiple tasks concurrently.

Environment: This job is normally performed in a clean, well-lighted, heated and cooled office area/classroom. Some travel is required.
