Come join the Cypress Cove team as an Activities Coordinator and bring fun and fellowship to our awesome residents!

Summary The ideal candidate will plan and facilitate resident activities from a person-centered care perspective taking into consideration the interests and physical abilities of residents. Must possess patience in implementing activities among the elder population whose capabilities may be limited; Must possess a sense of imagination and creativity; prior experience in recreation and activities is a must. Strong organizational skills and computer proficiency required. Some travel may be required. Strong communication skills and ability to work with other team members to ensure that an ongoing program of activities is designed and implemented. Flexibility with schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills Must be able to read, write and speak basic English in order to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively via verbal or written mediums.

Computer Skills Proficiency with MS Publisher Design software; Internet software; MS Word, Outlook and Excel software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Current/valid Driver's License. Current/valid CPR and First Aid Certifications a plus.
