Requirements

Primary:

·         Apply funds/payments to applicable invoices.

·         Other accounting applications.

·         Monitor Cash payments and processes including cash registers.

·         Account for all necessary remittance backup.

·         Keep accurate records of all activities.

·         Answer phones and work with internal/external employees and customers.

·         Answer all customer and employee requests in an urgent and accurate manner.

·         Follow procedures to secure a high level of confidentiality.

 

Secondary:

 

·         Prepare special reports as requested by management

·         Adhere to company policies, procedures and safety regulations. Use all safety equipment when necessary. Report any unsafe acts or conditions.

 

Performance Standards:

 

·         Apply funds within a one day turn time.

·         Timely month end closing

·         Prepares timely and accurate reports.

·         Responds quickly and accurately to internal and external customer inquiries.

·         Effectively participates as part of the team, assisting where appropriate and requesting assistance when needed.

·         Achieves a customer focus by delivering high quality, cost effective service.

·         Adhere to company policies, procedures and practices.

 

Position Specifications:

 

Education:

 

·         High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

·         Accounting training

·         Strong verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to read and understand materials commonly used in the job function.

 

Technical Training:

 

·         Knowledge of payroll practices and regulations.

·         Proficient computer technology skills, including ability to utilize company authorized software.

·         Type 50 WPM and 10-Key by touch.

·         Ability to recognize and secure confidential and sensitive materials.

·         Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and the general public.

 

Experience:

 

·         Minimum of one (1) year experience in cash applications, prefer with the SAP and/or AS400 System.

 

Work Environment:

 

·         Office environment.

 

Physical/Mental Abilities:

 

·         Self-motivated and detail oriented; work with minimum supervision.

·         Stand/walk 1-4 hours a day. Sit 5-6 hours a day.

·         Occasionally lift up to 10 lbs. Must be able to occasionally bend, squat and climb.

·         Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
