  • Meet and greet Company employees, customers, delivery people, truck drivers and others as required to determine reason for entering or exiting yard or facility and allow access to authorized personnel and others.
  • Ensure that authorized personnel are complying with Company’s safety policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to expedite the shipping of customer’s machinery.
Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Meet and greet Company employees, customers, delivery people, truck drivers and others as required to determine reason for entering or exiting yard or facility and allow access to authorized personnel and others.
  • Ensure that authorized personnel are complying with Company’s safety policies.
  • Coordinate with other departments to expedite the shipping of customer’s machinery.
  • Accurately input information recorded on shipping and receiving reports and log.
  • Locate various information found on Caterpillar and other makes of heavy equipment and accurately record that and other information on shipping or receiving.
  • Code invoices for Rental Department
  • Create, compile and distribute various computerized business reports, as requested.
  • Log and create various reports to Rental Fleet Manager.
  • Maintain vendor list and ensure compliance to Company policies.
  • Ensure valid insurance certificates are on file from vendor and enter into the database.
  • Maintain and accurately input data for the yard machine request log.

     

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Perform receptionist duties, as needed.
  • Organize and maintain DOT files.
  • Manage and restock office and yard supplies.
  • Distribute mail/packaging to recipients throughout the campus.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures and regulations.
  • Enable Cashman to achieve its objective of Safely Home. Everyone. Every Day.™ by promoting a positive safety culture and adhering to all company safety policies, procedures and practices.
  • Report any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Deliver Cashman’s “Best Customer Experience” for all internal and external customers on a consistent basis.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned.

     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Excellent phone and customer service skills.
  • Proficient computer technology skills, including ability to utilize company authorized software.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with all co-workers, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to create and maintain filing and information systems to ensure accurate records.
  • Shipping & receiving reports are completed accurate.
  • Display professional demeanor towards customers and employees entering and leaving the yard in relation to our customer service program.
  • Effectively participates as part of the team, assisting where appropriate and requesting assistance when needed.
  • Communicate effectively.  Actively seek and provide feedback from customers, fellow employees and manager.
  • Achieves a customer focus by delivering high quality, cost effective service.
  • Achieves annual company goals in first-class service, market leadership, and rental profitability through leadership qualities demonstrated.
  • Process daily, weekly and monthly reports in a timely manner.
  • Efficiently process documents and financial transactions.

     

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma, GED or trade school equivalent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand language commonly used in the job function.
  • Minimum of one (1) year customer service, security or inventory control experience.

  • Must use hands for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation.
  • Must be able to occasionally / frequently bend, squat and climb, including ability to ascend and descend ladders.
