Capgemini Government Solutions (CGGS) LLC is seeking highly motivated and experienced DevOps Cloud Test Engineer to join our team in the DC Metro Area to support our government clients. This is a remote role, the candidate can be located anywhere in the United States. The qualified applicant will provide operational input and support for the operations, maintenance, refinement, execution support for migrating new and legacy  applications and services to cloud computing and continuous improvement of client’s IT infrastructure. The candidate will support our clients in their cloud operations to enhance, optimize, and maintain their computing capabilities across their technical landscape. This includes working with our Cloud Architects and DevOps Engineers when interviewing clients to understand application and infrastructure’s current state and creating appropriate test cases and scripts. The DevOps Cloud Test Engineer must have expertise with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) Microsoft Azure and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Job Responsibilities

 

As a DevOps Cloud Test Engineer, you will:

 

  • Create and maintain QA documents (Test Strategies, Test Plans, Test Cases/Results) based on client’s SDLC.
  • Provide technical support in executing and managing test and deployment processes and establishes the environments used to conduct testing of the final deliverables.
  • Utilize automation and configuration management tools, such as Rational, Ansible, Chef, in conjunction with scripting tools, such as Terraform, AWS CLI, PowerShell, Bash, Python.
  • Develop and coordinate dry runs scripts created by the DevOps team.
  • Plan, design, develop, and use test automation frameworks and test scripts in a DevOps environment.
  • Review business requirements and technical design documents, QA bug fixes and defect resolution as needed.
  • Attend status meetings, team meetings, etc.
  • Prepare status reports (task progress, test execution).
  • Collaborate across functional teams on releases of varying size & complexity.
  • Facilitate ITIL Problem and Change Management processes to guide the completion of root cause analysis to ensure issues do not recur and improve processes accordingly.
  • Provide oversight for deployment of releases into production environments.
  • Communicate plans, milestones and status, and escalate issues as required.
  • Communicate changes for production system with business continuity team to have DR plans up to date.

     

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain Government Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. (8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  • 5 years of experience in developing and executing application software test strategies, test plans, test cases as well as leading small test teams.
  • Experience and knowledge to design, code, test, debug and document software in a variety of programming languages.
  • Knowledge of the latest programming languages and techniques.
  • Experience in creating strategies for developing IT systems and applications.
  • Experience in evaluating alternative approaches and selecting optimal approaches.

 

Additional Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in automated testing tools and QA management tools.
  • 3 years of experience in load testing methodologies.
  • Experience with SDLC/Testing methodologies and how to apply them.
  • Ability to manage the SDLC/Testing processes for an Agile DevOps team/project.
  • Experience working in a ITIL or ISO 27000 environment.
  • Active clearance for Public Trust (High-Risk) Position.
  • Healthcare application development experience.
