Capgemini Government Solutions is seeking an experienced, results-oriented and excellent communicator to lead a critical supply chain project for government clients in the Washington DC area.


The Supply Chain Manager will have the opportunity to lead a cross-functional and dynamic team in support of executive government clients, directly working to improve government supply chain performance in a multi-agency environment. The team will be developing detailed future-state process maps, develop detailed requirements and use cases for future supply chain system functionality, as well as implementing process improvements. The successful candidate will direct a highly talented team to collaboratively develop and deploy Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR) solutions for our clients.


The Supply Chain BPR Project Manager will:

  • Work directly with government clients to lead a team to implement process improvements across multiple supply chain domain areas
  • Manage overall project strategy and delivery, financial management, recruiting and staff management, client management, risk and issue management, schedule management, quality management, interfacing with Systems Integrators (SIs)
  • Apply supply chain best practices and knowledge (e.g. supply chain planning, demand/supply planning transportation, inventory management, procurement) to improving government supply chain performance
  • Build and manage key client relationships, providing thought leadership on supply chain leading practices and concepts
  • Lead multiple cross-functional team of consultants and government representatives
  • Manage the Project Plan, Implementation Roadmap, Project Management Plan and other project governance artifacts
  • Perform financial management of project, including forecasting, managing budget, variance and management reporting (e.g. monthly project management reviews, client status reporting)
  • Manage project resources (10+), including directing the day to day project work of junior through senior staff and providing guidance and feedback based on quality standards and project direction
  • Work directly with government COR/COTR on project financial and contract management, including forecasting expenditures, managing deliverables, etc.
  • Manage staff including annual performance management and project performance reviews
  • Contribute to business development efforts including supporting opportunity capture and supporting/leading proposal responses to build Capgemini’s presence in the civilian government agency market
  • Build or contribute to internal thought leadership efforts around supply chain management and process improvement


Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field is required
  • 10 years of experience managing process improvement projects
  • Demonstrated experience with supply chain management programs
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with large scope and scale across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Demonstrated experience with the management and supervision of employees of various labor categories and skills in projects (e.g. process analysts, solution architects, data analysts, SMEs, financial analysts, etc.)
  • Excellent client engagement and relationship management skills, including working collaboratively in a complex environment and building consensus across the stakeholder community
  • Understanding of supply chain functional areas and processes (e.g. Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, Transportation, Warehousing)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including developing high quality presentations and graphically appealing deliverables and work products. Advanced user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Successful teamwork experience and demonstrated leadership abilities


Additional Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in government consulting highly preferred
  • Knowledge and implementation experience of supply chain tools (e.g. supply chain ERP/SCM tools such as SAP, JDA, Oracle) highly preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing project roadmaps
  • Experience working directly with government CORs/COTRs
  • Business development experience (experience responding to RFIs and RFPs)
  • Experience tracking project progress in MS Project or other project management tools
  • Experience in requirements gathering and use case development
  • APICS CSCP Certification
  • PMP Certification
