Capgemini Government Solutions (CGGS) LLC is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Senior Network Administrator with thorough knowledge to create plans to assure effective management, operations, and maintenance of systems and/or networks to join our team in the Kansas City, MO metro area to support our federal government clients. The Senior Network Administrator will be a multifaceted role working in collaboration with networks and systems team in geographically disperse areas and roles across a large consulting engagement.  


The Senior Network Administrator has extensive knowledge of systems and networks to include high volume/high availability systems. The Senior Network Administrator will manage teams of system admins and is able to prioritize work and identify high risk critical problems and dedicate appropriate resources. The successful candidate will be responsible for system and/or network management, operations and maintenance efforts to drive value to our clients.


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to apply and grow their skillset in process improvement work with a motivated and entrepreneurial team, engage with a wide range of stakeholders, and build CGGS’ capabilities in in serving our clients.


Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Network Administrator, you will:

  • Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges and other devices.
  • Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including e-mail, files transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing and the like.
  • Configure systems to user environments.
  • Support acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.
  • Contribute to Capgemini Government Solutions business development efforts and contribute to intellectual property development  


Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other Engineering or technical discipline or 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.   
  • 5 years of related network systems engineering experience.
  • Experience maintaining a secure production environment.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting and resolving system issues.
  • Ability to work with multiple teams of administrators involving multiple diverse networks at both the enterprise and local level.
  • Effective knowledge to create plans to assure effective management, operations, and maintenance of systems and/or networks.
  • Knowledge of all agency policies regarding computer access and firewall and network protection technologies and creates the plans to implement.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in basic desktop applications, including MS office (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including developing high quality presentations in MS PowerPoint .
  • High attention to detail.


Additional Qualifications

  • Experience providing network administration consulting to federal government agencies.
  • Experience managing network administrators or analysts consulting to a federal government agency environment.
