Title Lead Network Security Analyst

Description Capgemini Government Solutions is searching for a Lead Network Security Analyst. This position requires a detailed understanding of current and emerging network/system technologies, including security related concepts and considerations, as well as extensive experience evaluating networks and systems from a cybersecurity perspective. As the Lead Network Security Analyst you will:

• Review existing network and system documentation and provide security-related feedback / recommendations
• Perform assessments of enterprise networks and systems to identify security gaps and make recommendations for how to close those gaps
• Develop and maintain an inventory of deployed network and system analysis tools
• Use available network and system analysis tools to map existing networks, ensure accuracy of network documentation and ensure awareness understanding of existing networks and systems
• Work with Computer Network Defense (CND) teams to provide network insights to enable improved security monitoring and alerting content
• Work with Continuous Diagnostics & Monitoring (CDM) teams concerning the implementation of security tools and sensors, and to assist in the review of information reported by those tools
• Work with Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) teams to provide network insights to enable them to properly review and make recommendations concerning compliance-driven decisions

Required:
• U.S. Citizenship and have, or be eligible for, a DHS Public Trust or Secret Security Clearance
• IT security certifications (CISSP, or equivalent), or a Bachelor’s in Information Technology or related discipline
• 10+ years of technical IT security experience (system or network administration, security analysis, security testing and evaluation, security incident response, security monitoring, IT project implementation, or other similar technical activities)
• 5+ years of experience (research, design, implementation) pertaining to Network and System Security
• Fluent knowledge of NIST and FIPS security controls and how they apply to Network and System Security
• Strong ability to work independently and with minimal guidance
• Strong oral/written communications and client facing skills
• Ability to proficiently articulate technical concepts to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences using both written and verbal communications
