Description The receptionist provides an image and tone that makes our clients comfortable, while providing them the information they need in a timely manner. Under general supervision, helps to provide a welcoming experience to all callers and visitors to AFSC.

Contributes to developing the AFSC brand image through first contact with our clients and staff. Provides general information and assistance and directs specific inquires to the appropriate staff member. Receives and routes incoming calls and greets visitors to AFSC. Provides general information and assistance to inquiries.

It is important that the receptionist have a general understanding of the military and AFSC staff missions to determine where to direct the client or call.
Requirements

DUTIES:

-Proficiently use-automated tools including, but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet development, and data base tools; Provide a pleasant and productive client experience when calling or visiting; Provide a professional, warm and caring demeanor; Take the initiative to assist clients and staff members; Follow up and report on tasks; Follow complex policies and administrative procedures; Answers and directs incoming calls in a pleasant, respectful and accommodating tone; Greets all visitors with deference and respect; Maintains an electronic log of all visitors; Notifies the appropriate staff member to serve a client's needs; Also performs some executive assistance functions, such as maintains the CEO calendar, prepares executive correspondence, charts, and power point presentations; Performs member file maintenance; Accepts documents from members and other visitors and delivers to the appropriate staff member as soon as possible the same day; Performs on-line internet research; Processes incoming mail; Performs research, scanning documents, collating, copying, etc. as needed; Performs related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.

Military experience or knowledge of the military lifestyle is strongly desired.

High school diploma required, some college is desired.

Minimum of two years of receptionist experience working in a professional office environment is desired.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
