Title Training Coordinator

Description AFSC seeks someone to plan, organize and manage the execution of a training program. The training coordinator will manage all presenter and participant outreach and logistics, as well as coordinating with the client on training details. The position also involves creation of training materials such as case studies, PowerPoint presentations, worksheet handouts, etc. and may also include writing of newsletters and other materials as required by each individual training program.

Responsibilities:

Assist the government training lead in writing, editing, and preparing reports

Conduct Instructor Led Trainings

Coordinate and compile weekly training team meeting and workload reports

Contribute to Monthly Status Reports

Contribute to monthly newsletter/blogs

Coordinate, schedule, manage, implement, and facilitate training sessions

Manage classroom and operations during training weeks

Manage training logistics to include venue, vendor communications, scheduling and timelines, set up training venue, and maintaining training budget

Develop a project schedule and assign tasks to team (will supply comprehensive list of tasks)

Evaluate training effectiveness and analyze metrics

Edit and send out 90-day post-training evaluations

Lead writing, editing, and delivering the 90-day results

Write After Action Reports

Assemble training materials such as agendas, handouts, surveys, etc.

Develop training agendas

Research subject matter, and interview subject matter experts to compile information to assist in course design

Manage materials and supplies for all instructor-led courses facilitator guides, participant materials, posters, media, slides, and attendance sheets

Manage day to day scheduling of classes, book training rooms across multiple office locations, manage classroom setup and coordinate logistics

Define and maintain training calendar, create and communicate master schedules for ongoing training initiatives, and coordinate scheduling of participants

Work with client on vision and content of training materials (handbook and CD)
Requirements Requirements/Qualifications:

Knowledge of military culture

Minimum 3-5 years training experience

Possess capability to effectively communicate verbally

Create and deliver customized training solutions

Perform detailed front-end analysis of training needs and specific development of curriculum to satisfy those needs

Must be able to write in a clear concise manner, and possess excellent English composition and grammar skills

Knowledge/experience of military training and writing

Knowledge/experience with academic research, writing, and citation of references

Possess ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.

Possess strong organizational skills

Has ability to plan ahead and follow through

Must be able to excel in a team environment and effectively support multiple, concurrent priorities

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Publisher)

Possess a level of health and stamina necessary to adhere to an on-site training or event schedule as needed 

Bachelors' degree or equivalent relevant years of experience

General Office Demands:

- Must be able to operate general office equipment including but not limited to: computer, phones and related media and information devices on most or all workdays
- Ability to communicate and interact with others, both in person and/or by telephone to conduct business
- Working under time pressure
- Working rapidly for long periods to meet deadlines
- Must be able to travel as needed and adhere to AFSC travel policies and procedures.
- Physical requirements can typically be characterized as sedentary to moderately active: work involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Position requires walking short distances between offices and meeting locations.
