Description Psychological Health Coordinator

The Psychological Health Coordinator provides services that are part of the comprehensive effort to support Service Member readiness and ability to cope with impact of Traumatic Brain Injury and/or Post Traumatic Stress; decrease stigma associated with seeking mental health services; and improve access to qualified mental health providers.
Job Duties:
•Provide clinical case management services including assessment, intervention plan, referral and monitoring of clinical progress
•Provide 24/7 access to clinically appropriate intake, assessment, behavioral health screening and referral services. After hour services are generally provided by phone or email.
•Engage in a wide variety of well ness promotion focused activities, facilitating activities on the prevention and education of mental health issues, early intervention, crisis response and post-incident recovery.
•Provide clinical consultations to leadership to foster quality care and mission readiness.
•Provide non-clinical consultations on a variety of behavioral health and wellness issues that do not clearly fit into a mental, behavioral or emotional disorder, problem or concern. Can provide up to three encounters to assist with short term problem resolution.
•Assist in both crisis response and critical incident response.
•Maintain log of all referrals and required data, and report outcome measures and metrics as required.
•Travel within the state to provide PHC services at ARNG sites and to participate in community outreach projects.
Requirements Requirements:

•Masters or Doctorate degree in a clinical or administrative mental health field from an accredited college or university
•Current state license or state certification as a mental health practitioner. License must be from state/territory where the practice takes place. Must be able to practice at the independent level without requiring state mandated clinical supervision.
•Must have a minimum of five (5) years of clinical or administration mental health care experience after receiving qualifying graduate degree.
•Have demonstrated capability to complete accurate bio-psycho-social assessments including substance abuse assessments.
•Should have specialized experience and training in phone counseling (if performing phone counseling).

Must be able to travel as needed and adhere to AFSC travel policies and procedures.
Physical requirements can typically be characterized as sedentary: work involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
