Description The Congressional Inquiries Analyst serves as an action officer in the NGB Congressional Inquiry Division by providing factual, coordinated, and timely replies to written and telephone inquiries from Members of Congress, the White House, and their committees and staff. The following tasks are conducted in assistance to the Congressional Inquiries Branch Chief.



Primary responsibilities of this position include:

Receive a wide variety of written and telephonic inquiries from Members of Congress and the White House and record each inquiry received into the NGB LL internal database.

Provide interim responses every 21 calendar days to the inquiring official until the final response is completed.

Ensure that all inquiries are properly staffed and vetted to ensure the most accurate and up to date information is transmitted on behalf of the senior leadership at NGB.

Establish and maintain contacts with staff of Congressional offices and within DoD, Army, the Air Force and the States and Territories.

Maintain a current contact roster of the staff of Congressional offices and appropriate points of contact within DOD, the Army, the Air Force, and the States and Territories.

Ensure all Privacy Act and Freedom of Information Act inquiries received by the Congressional Inquiries Branch Chief are in compliance with policy and provide a response to the Congressional Inquiries Branch Chief within 24 hours of inquiry.
Requirements Required:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Active Secret security clearance
• Demonstrated experience using software database and tracking systems
• Experience performing inquiry management duties

Preferred:
• 2 years experience analyzing and responding to written inquiries
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Strong Interpersonal skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office Tools
