EAG Laboratories with 28 locations and over 600 employees is a global scientific services company. Our Engineering Sciences lab located in Sunnyvale, California facility is seeking a Failure Analysis Engineer to work with a variety of instruments and customers
to grow EAG. EAG offers failure analysis services in support of our client’s need to achieve high quality and reliable products.
Our clients include leading edge tech companies in a diverse range of industries and business sectors who design, manufacture or incorporate electronics for tomorrow’s technology driven world. EAG’s FA Engineers engage in engineer-to-engineer interaction
to discuss and comprehensively understand client issues, challenges, goals and urgency, to define the device problems, develop and execute analyses, and report back results. This is a hands-on position that requires strong problem-solving skills to perform
a wide range of analytical work and work successfully with colleagues.
The role requires 5 or more years of hands-on failure analysis experience along with a solid technical foundation. Hands-on experience with three or more Failure Analysis techniques including curve trace, X-ray, CSAM, emmi, IR microscopy, various laser
injection techniques, microprobing, deprocessing, SEM, IC test and other related FA tools is necessary.
The successful candidate will have experience in microelectronics and semiconductor fabrication along with excellent English written and spoken communication skills and a BS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science or other relevant science discipline

Education and Experience:
- BS in Electrical engineering or science related field
- A solid technical foundation
- 5+ years of failure analysis laboratory experience
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Excellent FA skills
- Hands-on experience with curve trace, X-ray, C-SAM, TDR, light emission microscopy, IR microscopy, various laser injection techniques, microprobing, deprocessing, SEM, IC test, and other related FA tools are necessary.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken)
- A strong work ethic with a commitment to accuracy
- The ability to work to deadlines in a team oriented environment are essential.
